Driver App settings overview
Settings → Driver App controls what your drivers see and do in the RushHour Driver app. The settings apply to every driver in your company.
For a full walkthrough of every option, see Driver app settings in the Drivers and fleet guide. For how drivers use the app, see the Driver app guides.
The current Driver app applies these settings on both Android and iPhone; drivers on an older version should update the app from their store. Transfer stops on failed attempt is applied by RushHour itself, whichever version of the app a driver uses.
The three tabs
| Tab | What you set there |
|---|---|
| Flow | The steps, or prompts, a driver is given at Start of Shift, Pickup, Drop Off and End of Shift — for example photographing the vehicle, scanning items or signing. Turn steps on or off, make them required, drag them into order, and add your own yes-or-no checks with Add Custom Part. |
| Preferences | Company-wide app preferences, such as the distance unit, whether the app's map uses Google Maps or the phone's own default map, how often the app checks for route changes, when drivers are alerted that they are close to a stop, when a stop counts as late, and what happens to transfer stops after a failed attempt. |
| Features | Requirements, such as a vehicle inspection (DVIR) at the start or end of the shift and a signature or photos on every delivery, and which app Features are turned on, such as Hours of Service, nearby amenities, issue reporting and paperwork scanning. |
Each tab has its own Save button. Changes apply once you save them.
Steps that are always required
Three steps are marked Always required: the license plate and the signature at the start of the shift, and the signature at the end of the shift. They are always turned on and required, and can't be removed.
