Pricing
Every quote and order in RushHour has a price. You decide how that price is worked out for each order, and you set up the rates RushHour uses under Settings.
This section explains the pricing setup. For choosing a price type and recalculating the price on a single quote or order, see Quotes and orders.
The three price types
When you edit a saved quote or order, its pricing block offers three buttons. The one that is highlighted is the price type the order uses.

| Classic | RushHour calculates the price from the trip and your company's cost settings, or from the order's shipment type. See Details shows how the Classic price was built. See Shipment types and Classic pricing. |
| Pricing Model | RushHour looks up the price in the pricing model for the order's customer (or your company's default model) — a grid of prices by pallet count and distance, plus any zone-to-zone or international rates. Available only for orders made up of pallet items (Pallets or Pallets+). See Pricing models. |
| Custom | You type the price yourself. |
If RushHour cannot calculate a price — for example, no rate matches the customer, distance or pallet count — it warns Price could not be calculated instead of showing a price of zero. Fix the rates, or switch the order to Custom and enter the price.
The price type buttons are not available on closed or deleted orders.
AI price suggestion
The pricing block also has an AI price suggestion chip. Click it to get a suggested price and range for the lane, with a confidence level and what the suggestion is based on — for example a matching rate in your pricing, a pricing rule learned from your documents, or your history on that lane. When shown, an anonymized benchmark from other companies is labelled as such. Click Apply to use the suggestion; the order switches to the Custom price type.
What makes up an order's total
The amount you invoice for an order is built from:
- The order's price — from the price type above.
- Additional charges — accessorial fees such as liftgate or residential delivery, added to the order or its stops. See Charge types and additional charges.
- Waiting time — billable detention beyond the free waiting time. See Waiting time.
When RushHour creates an invoice for an order, it starts from these amounts. See Invoices.
Where pricing is set up
All pricing settings live under Settings, in the Setup group:
