Integrations
RushHour works on its own, but it can also be connected to services your company already uses. Each integration is set up once per company, and everyone in the company benefits from it.
Most integrations are managed under Settings → Integrations in the Company Portal. The page opens on the Installed tab, which lists the integrations your company has set up, plus Telegram, whose connection RushHour can't check; the All tab shows everything you can connect. Forwarding email into RushHour is set up under Settings → Inbound Email.
Available integrations
| Integration | What it does for you | Guide |
|---|---|---|
| QuickBooks Online | Sends your RushHour invoices and customer payments to QuickBooks, automatically or when you choose. | QuickBooks Online |
| Cardknox | Takes card payments: charge a customer's saved card in Accounting, and let customers pay invoices by card in the Customer Portal. | Cardknox card payments |
| Samsara | Shows where your trucks are on the Dispatch board and order maps, links your trucks to Samsara vehicles, and lets the AI assistant answer fleet questions. | Samsara |
| Maps and routing | Chooses the maps your team, customers and drivers see, and which service looks up addresses, calculates directions and mileage, and optimizes routes. Includes Google Maps, OpenStreetMap, Radar, HERE, Mapbox, Trimble Maps, Valhalla and VROOM. | Maps and routing providers |
| TollGuru | Adds toll costs to the prices RushHour calculates, using your own TollGuru account. | TollGuru toll costs |
| Telegram | Sends route and stop details to drivers in Telegram when you use Copy to Driver. | Telegram |
| Email-in | Gives your company its own RushHour email address, so forwarded emails and their attachments arrive in your Inbox and Documents. | Forwarding email into RushHour |
Some services shown in the integrations list, such as Motive, GPS Insights and Solera, can't be connected yet.
Stripe — take your customers' card payments through Stripe instead of Cardknox: on your own Stripe account, connected with Connect with Stripe; with RushHour collecting for you and paying you out; or with your own API keys. See Stripe customer payments.
A company can also run RushHour's AI features on its own AI provider account, once RushHour turns this on for it. See AI activity and usage.
Before you start
- You bring your own account. Every integration connects RushHour to your account with the other service — your QuickBooks company, your Cardknox merchant account, your Samsara organization, your maps provider project. Create that account first and keep its keys at hand.
- Keys are entered once, by an administrator. After saving, secret keys and tokens are shown masked, so they can't be read back from the screen. Public keys that are meant to be used in web browsers are shown in full. To change a key, type the new value over it.
- Use the right key in the right field. Several services issue a public key (safe to use in a web browser) and a secret key (for servers only). RushHour asks for them in separate fields and refuses a key that is clearly in the wrong one.
Who can manage integrations
| Task | Who can do it |
|---|---|
| Add, change or remove keys for an integration | Users with the Company Admin role |
| Save QuickBooks keys and connect QuickBooks for the first time, or again after it was disconnected | Company Admins who also have the Intergrations permission (spelled this way on the Roles page) |
| Reconnect an expired QuickBooks connection, or disconnect QuickBooks | Users with the Intergrations permission |
| Sign in to Telegram | Users with the Intergrations permission |
| Change the inbound email address and its settings | Users with Profile tab - Edit company Info/profile |
See Roles and permissions for how roles and permissions are assigned, and Integrations settings for a tour of the settings page itself.
Checking that an integration works
- QuickBooks shows its connection status on its row: Connected, Not Connected, Disconnected or Connection Expired. Its Sync health tab lists invoices and payments that are waiting, retrying or failed, and a banner at the top of the Company Portal warns your team when the connection has expired or been disconnected. See QuickBooks Online.
- The maps and routing providers (Radar, HERE, Mapbox, Trimble Maps, Valhalla and VROOM) and TollGuru have a Test connection button in their settings. It checks the keys you typed without saving anything.
- For the other integrations, the quickest check is to use the feature — for example, open Settings → Fleet to see whether Samsara vehicle details appear.
Calculated prices include toll costs only when your company has connected its own TollGuru account — see TollGuru toll costs.
