Notification preferences

Settings → Notifications is where you choose which notifications reach you, and how. Your choices apply only to your own account — they don't change what anyone else in your company receives. Every user can manage their own preferences.

To see and work with the notifications you receive, see Notifications and inbox.

Choose your notifications

The page lists notification categories, each with two switches:

  • In-app — show these notifications in the notification bell in the portal.
  • Email — also send them to your email address.

Turn a switch on or off. Each change is saved as soon as you make it.

System announcementsImportant announcements from RushHour, such as new features and maintenance windows.In-app always on, email off

Late deliveriesAn alert when a stop on an order is running late: its scheduled time passed at least 30 minutes ago and no arrival has been recorded. You get at most one alert a day for the same order.Off

You can't turn off in-app System announcements, so you never miss notices such as planned maintenance. You can still choose whether to receive them by email.

RushHour never emails you notifications unless you turn Email on for that category.

The page also lists an Order status category. RushHour doesn't send notifications in that category yet.

Coming soon

A QuickBooks connection category is on its way. It alerts you when your company's QuickBooks Online connection has expired, or when QuickBooks was disconnected while invoices or payments were still waiting to be sent to it. It will start with In-app on and Email off, and you can change both. It goes to your company's staff only — Customer Portal users don't receive it.
