Stop cards and confirmation
Expand a route card on the Dispatch board to see its stops, in the order the driver will visit them. Each stop is shown as a card, numbered by its position on the route.
Read a stop card
A stop card shows:
- The order number — select it to open the order in a new browser tab.
- The stop type, such as Pick up, Delivery, Delivery To Transfer, Pickup From Transfer, Delivery To HUB or Pick up From HUB, and the customer.
- A phone icon when the stop has a contact number. Hover it to see and copy the number; select it to record the outcome of your call.
- The status badge. See Stop statuses.
- A priority icon. Select it to change the stop's priority.
- A red HOLD badge when the delivery is on hold.
- The scheduled date and time. Its color and tooltip tell you whether the stop is running on time.
- The ETA, while the stop isn't done yet. See ETAs.
- Arrived and the arrival time once the driver has arrived, with how late the arrival was when it was late.
- Driver is … away, the straight-line distance and approximate time from the driver's last known position, when that position is known.
- The address. Hover it to see the location details too.
- The items for this stop. Hover an item to see its details.
- Warning icons for anything that needs your attention. See Warnings.
In Comfortable view, the card also shows who created the stop. Switch views with the button at the top of the routes panel.
Stop statuses
| Status | Meaning |
|---|---|
| On Time | The stop is still to do and on schedule. |
| Late | The stop is still to do and behind schedule. |
| Picked Up | The pickup is done. Picked Up (T) marks a pickup from a transfer. |
| Delivered | The delivery is done. Delivered (T) marks a delivery to a transfer. |
ETAs
The ETA is RushHour's estimate of when the driver will reach the stop. Hover it to see how it was worked out:
- from the truck's live position, when a recent position is available — for example from a telematics integration;
- otherwise from the last completed stop on the route;
- otherwise from the route's planned schedule.
In each case RushHour adds the drive times between stops. The ETA doesn't include the time spent at stops along the way.
Confirm a stop
Drivers normally confirm their stops in the driver app. You can also confirm a stop from the board, for example when the driver calls it in:
- Select the stop's status badge and choose Picked Up or Delivered.
- The confirmation window opens. Check or fill in:
- Customer Information — the location's company details and contacts.
- Attachments — files on the stop, such as signed paperwork.
- Delivery Schedule — the Arrival Date and Arrival Time, the waiting time, the Departure Date and Departure Time, and the Free Time allowed.
- Additional Charge — extra charges to add for this stop.
- Item Details — the quantities actually picked up or delivered.
- Select Confirm.
To save the details without confirming the stop, select Update.
On the last stop of an order, when some quantity is left over, the window offers two ways to confirm instead:
- Confirm & Create Delivery — confirm the stop and create a new delivery for the remaining items.
- Confirm & Create Order — confirm the stop and carry the remaining quantity on a separate, related order.
Before the window opens
RushHour checks the order first and may ask you to fix something:
- If a delivery still needs to be created for the goods, it asks whether to create it.
- If a related pickup, delivery or transfer isn't assigned yet, it asks whether to assign it first or continue anyway.
- Transfer stops must be confirmed in order: the pickup, then the delivery to transfer, then the pickup from transfer, then the final delivery. RushHour won't let you skip a step.
- A delivery that is on hold can't be confirmed until the hold is resolved.
Confirm every stop at once
Close All in the route card's ⋮ menu confirms the route's remaining stops in one go, using the current time. It skips deliveries that are on hold or still waiting for a required payment, and those stay open. There's no confirmation step, so use it only when all the work really is done.
Undo a confirmation
To put a confirmed stop back to to-do, select its status badge and choose On Time. For stops in Confirmation History, choose Restore.
Record a failed attempt
When a driver couldn't complete a stop, drag it back to the Unassigned Orders panel and answer Yes to Is it attempt?. See Unassign stops.
Stop actions
Open the ⋮ menu on a stop card:
| Action | What it does |
|---|---|
| Copy Stop for Driver | Prepare the stop's details for the driver. See Copy to Driver. |
| Order Sheet | Open the order sheet. |
| Driver Instructions | Read or edit the stop's driver instructions. |
| Delete Transfer | For a transfer stop that isn't confirmed yet. Deletes it together with its paired transfer stop. |
| BOL | For deliveries. Open the bill of lading. |
| Change Address | For stops that aren't done. Change the stop's address. |
| Set HOLD / View HOLD Details / Resolve HOLD | For deliveries. See Holds. |
| Merge Stops | Combine this stop with other stops at the same address. |
Warnings
A row of warning icons appears on stops that still need something. Select an icon to deal with it:
| Warning | What to do |
|---|---|
| Assign Pickup / Assign Delivery | A related pickup or delivery of the order isn't on a route yet. Select the icon to add it. |
| Create Delivery | The goods need a delivery that doesn't exist yet. Select the icon to create one. |
| Allocate Items | Items haven't been given a delivery. Select the icon to open the order. |
| Assign Transfer | The order's pickup and delivery are on different routes. Select the icon to set up a transfer. See Transfers and hubs. |
| Assign HUB | The order needs a hub hand-off. See Hubs. |
| Driver Instructions | The stop has driver instructions. Select the icon to read them. |
A transfer stop is highlighted when the order's pickup and delivery have ended up on the same route, because the transfer is no longer needed.
Combined stop cards
When a route visits the same address for several stops, you can show them on one combined card:
- Choose Merge Stops in the route card's ⋮ menu to combine stops at the same address across the route, and Split Stops to show them separately again.
- Choose Merge Stops in a single stop's menu to combine just that stop with the others at its address.
A combined card works on all its stops together. Dragging it moves all of them, and confirming it confirms each stop in turn.
