The Dispatch board

Select Dispatch in the left menu to open the board. It has three panels:

PanelWhat it shows
RoutesOne card per route, with the route's driver, truck, progress and stops. See Routes.
MapYour routes, their stops and your trucks.
Unassigned OrdersOrders with stops that aren't on a route yet. See Assign stops to routes.

Filter the board

The toolbar at the top of the page controls what the board shows:

ControlWhat it does
DateChoose the day to work on: Today, Tomorrow, or any date from the calendar.
ZoneShow only the routes of one zone.
CountryShow only stops in one country. The first time you open the board in a browser, the filter is set to your company's country, so stops in other countries are hidden until you change or clear it. After that, your choice is remembered in that browser. Because hidden stops don't show, an expanded route can appear empty; the card tells you when that happens.
Completed RoutesTurn on to include completed (archived) routes. They are hidden by default.
New RouteCreate a route. See Create a route.

To find a driver's route, type in Search Driver at the top of the routes panel. The number next to Routes shows how many routes match.

To jump to one order, open the order and select View in Dispatch in its right panel, or select View in Dispatch on the order's marker on the Orders map. The board opens focused on that order's stops.

The board keeps its date, zone, country and search in the page address, so you can bookmark a view or share the link with a colleague.

Arrange the board

Board layout

Select the layout button (the grid of dots) in the corner of the map to choose where the map sits:

  • Map in the center (the default), Map on the left, Map on the right or Map on top.
  • Map above routes or Map above unassigned orders, to stack the map over one of the columns.

Select Swap Routes & Orders columns to switch the sides of the routes panel and the unassigned orders panel. You can also swap them with the swap button at the top of either panel.

Your layout follows you when you sign in on another device.

Compact view

Select the list button at the top of the routes panel to switch between Compact view, which fits more stops on screen, and Comfortable view.

Hide and show panels

Select the arrow at the top of the routes panel or the unassigned orders panel to collapse it and give the map more room. When a panel is collapsed, a button on the map brings it back.

The map

  • Routes are drawn as lines with numbered stop markers.
  • Select a route card to show only that route on the map. Select the card again to go back to all routes.
  • Open the Markers menu on the map to show or hide Trucks, Routes and Unassigned stops. With unassigned stops shown, you can also choose Pickups and Deliveries. The Routes, Unassigned, Pickups and Deliveries options show how many markers they cover. The unassigned options appear only when there are unassigned stops on the map.
  • Select the full-screen button to expand the map. Select it again to exit.

Trucks on the map

If your company uses a telematics integration that reports truck positions, such as Samsara, trucks linked to it appear on the map and their positions refresh every couple of minutes. Select the location button on a route card to center the map on that route's truck. See Integrations.

Assign stops from the map

With a route selected and unassigned stops shown on the map, click the map to draw a selection circle. Drag the circle's edge to resize it; its radius is shown in miles. Select Assign to add the unassigned stops inside the circle to the selected route.
