Trainings, amenities and break-time tools

Besides your routes, the driver app has a few tools for the rest of your working day. You find most of them on the dashboard, under Work tools and For your break.

Trainings

Trainings lists the training videos available to you, with how many you have completed and how many remain.

  1. Open Trainings from the dashboard.
  2. Tap a training to play the video.
  3. Watch it to the end. The app records the training as completed, and it stays completed even if you reinstall the app.

If the list says there are no training materials yet, none have been made available to you.

Nearest amenities

Nearest Amenities shows places near your current location, with their distance, rating and whether they are open.

  1. Open Nearest Amenities from the dashboard, the amenities button on the Routes map, or Nearest Rest Stops on the HOS tab.
  2. Filter by type: gas stations, restaurants, cafes, hotels, parking, ATMs, convenience stores, hospitals or pharmacies — or show all.
  3. Tap a place to see its address and details. Select Get Directions to show it on the Routes map, or call it when a phone number is listed.

Nearest amenities needs location access. It isn't available if your company has turned it off.

Check a barcode

Settings → Scanning → Scan Bar Code lets you scan a barcode outside a stop to check whether RushHour recognises it.

To send barcodes, photos or paperwork to your office, capture them while completing the stop — documents scanned from the Scanning screen aren't attached to an order.

For your break

caution

Only use music and games when you are safely parked.

  • Music — listen to internet radio. Choose a genre, such as pop, rock, country, jazz, classical, news or talk radio, or search for a station. The player keeps playing while you move around the app, with a small player at the bottom of the screen.
  • Games — play Trucking Trivia, Memory Match, Word Search, 2048, Sliding Puzzle, Snake, Tic Tac Toe or Sudoku.

Music streams over the internet, so it uses data while it plays.
