Finding your way around the driver app

The driver app has five tabs along the bottom of the screen, a header at the top, and a side menu with the rest of the app's screens.

The tabs

TabWhat you find there
DashboardYour day at a glance and shortcuts to your work tools. See The dashboard.
StopsEvery stop on your orders, split into new and completed. See Your routes and stops.
RoutesYour route on a map or as a list, where you arrive at stops and start each pickup or delivery. See Your routes and stops.
HOSYour hours of service. This tab only appears if your company uses hours of service in the app. See Hours of service.
MessageYour chats with the office and other drivers. See Messages.

The header

Most screens share the same header:

  • Menu (☰) on the left opens the side menu.
  • Search on the right lets you jump to any screen of the app by typing what you are looking for — for example fuel, inspection or delete account. Screens your company has turned off aren't offered.
  • The bell opens your notifications. A dot on it means you have unread notifications.

On screens you open from somewhere else, the menu button is replaced by a back arrow.

The side menu

The side menu gives you quick access to:

The dashboard

The dashboard opens when you start the app. From top to bottom it shows:

  • A greeting with your name and photo. Tap your photo to open your driver profile.
  • A reminder to finish your profile, if your details or documents are still incomplete.
  • Job Status — how many orders and addresses you have for the selected day, and how many are completed, in progress or yet to start. Use the arrows or tap the date to look at another day. Today includes every open order, whatever its scheduled date.
  • Today — your next stop, whether it is a pickup or a delivery, its address and, when available, the expected arrival time. Select Continue to open it on the Routes tab.
  • Inspection reminders — for example a reminder to complete your pre-trip inspection when you have a route today but haven't inspected your vehicle yet.
  • Work tools — shortcuts to Inspections, Report Issue, Nearest Amenities, Trainings and Expenses.
  • For your break — Music and Games.

Pull the dashboard down to refresh it. It also refreshes by itself while the app is open.

If the dashboard says your route has not been assigned yet, your company hasn't given you any work for now. Contact your manager if you were expecting some.

Features your company controls

Your company can turn some parts of the app on or off for all its drivers, and decide which steps you must complete at each stop. When a feature is turned off:

  • the HOS tab, the amenities button on the Routes map and the matching stop steps are hidden, and search no longer offers the screen;
  • the dashboard's work tools still show every shortcut, including Report Issue and Nearest Amenities. If you tap one your company has turned off, the app shows a message that it is disabled by your company and takes you back.

The app loads your company's choices when you sign in and checks for changes regularly while you use it.
