Deleting your driver account
You can delete your driver account yourself, from inside the driver app. You don't need to email anyone.
Before you start
The app checks two things before it lets you delete your account:
- No unfinished route. If a route is still assigned to you, the app asks you to complete the route and its remaining stops, or to contact your manager.
- No outstanding payment balance. If your account shows an open balance, contact your manager to settle it first.
If you can't clear these yourself — for example because you no longer drive for the company — ask your company to remove your account for you.
Delete your account
- Open the side menu (☰) and select Settings.
- Select Privacy.
- Select Delete Account, the red option at the bottom of the screen.
- Read the warning in Delete Account? and select Delete to confirm.
You can also find the option by searching for delete account.
What happens straight away
- Your account is closed and you are signed out of the app.
- You can no longer sign in with your email address and password.
- Your company sees your driver account as deleted.
You can't undo the deletion from the app. If you deleted your account by mistake, contact your company as soon as possible.
What happens after 30 days
For 30 days after you delete your account, your company can restore it. Restoring it cancels the deletion.
Once the 30 days have passed, RushHour removes your personal details. This includes:
- your name, email address and phone numbers;
- your identification number, date of birth and home address;
- your driver's license details, your profile photo, and the photos of your license, registration and insurance card;
- your vehicle details and your sign-in;
- your location history and the notifications sent to your phone;
- the notes and locations in your driving logs, the comments, photos and signature on your vehicle inspections, and the description and location of issues you reported.
What your company keeps
The work you did remains part of your company's records: for example the deliveries, routes and stops you completed, proof-of-delivery photos and signatures, and the vehicle inspection and hours-of-service records your company must keep.
Some of what your company keeps can still contain personal information after the 30 days, because it isn't part of the removal listed above:
- the chat messages and photos you sent;
- your expenses and the receipt photos you attached;
- your hours-of-service entries, including the location recorded with each duty status change.
If you want to know what your company holds about you, or want any of it removed, contact your company.
For questions about how your data is handled, see the privacy information on rushhourapp.com, or contact your company.
