Notes, messages and history
Four tabs of the order workspace help you keep track of what is happening with a quote or order and what has happened to it.
Notes
The Notes tab has two fields:
| Field | Who sees it |
|---|---|
| Private Notes | Your team only. These are the same notes shown in the left panel. |
| Common Notes | Copied onto the order's invoice and printed on it, so write them for the customer. |
Edit the notes while the order is in edit mode, then save the order.
Inbox
The Inbox tab holds the conversation with the customer about this order. Write a message to add it to the conversation, and read the customer's messages here — including replies to appointment requests.
Audit log
The Audit log tab lists what has happened to the quote or order:
| Column | Shows |
|---|---|
| Date/Time | When it happened. |
| Action | What happened, such as a status change, a stop update or a price change. |
| Details | The specifics, for example the stop involved and the old and new values of a changed field. |
| By | Who did it — a member of your team, a driver, the customer, the AI assistant or RushHour itself. |
| Notes | Any note recorded with the change. |
To find something specific:
- Type in Search activities... to search the entries.
- Choose a category in the list, such as Lifecycle, Order details, Stops, Items, Pricing, Charges, Dispatch or Accounting. All Activities shows everything.
- Pick a date to see only that day's entries.
When an order has a very long history, the tab shows the most recent entries and tells you that older ones aren't displayed.
The audit log will also record when an order's bill of lading or invoice is downloaded, and when order or stop details are copied to a driver, including which driver.
Related orders
An order can be linked to other orders: a parent order and sub-orders created from it. A Sub-order badge in the header marks an order that belongs to a parent.
The Related Orders tab lists the parent order and the sub-orders with their number, date, status, PO number and price. If the order has neither, the tab says so.
