Inbound email address

Your company has its own RushHour email address. Anything you send or forward to it — manifests, purchase orders, price sheets — arrives in RushHour:

  • The email appears in your Inbox.
  • Its attachments are added to your Documents library, ready to review and import.
  • Company administrators get a Documents notification. See Notification center.

RushHour never imports anything from an email automatically. You review each document and decide what to import — for example with the AI assistant.

Finding your address

Go to Settings → Inbound Email (in the Setup group). Your Forwarding address is shown at the top. Click Copy to copy it.

Settings

SettingWhat it does
Edit (next to the address)Changes the name before the @ sign. The name must be 3–64 characters — lowercase letters, digits, dots, hyphens or underscores — must start and end with a letter or digit, and must not be used by any other company.
Accept inbound emailWhen off, mail sent to the address is ignored.
Allowed sender domainsOnly accept mail from these domains, such as example.com. Leave the list empty to accept mail from anyone.
Regenerate addressCreates a brand-new address — useful if the current one has been shared too widely or is getting spam.
Your company address (optional)Records which of your own mailboxes forwards to RushHour, so your team knows. It does not change where RushHour receives mail.
Changing the address

Saving a new name or regenerating the address makes the current address stop working immediately. Anything still sent to the old address will not arrive. Update any forwarding rules and tell your partners before you change it.

Receiving on an address at your own domain

If you would rather receive documents at an address such as docs@example.com on your own domain:

  1. Create that mailbox with your email provider.
  2. Set it to automatically forward to your RushHour forwarding address.
  3. Optionally enter it under Your company address in RushHour.

You never share a password or account access with RushHour. The Inbound Email page includes step-by-step forwarding instructions for Gmail / Google Workspace, Outlook / Microsoft 365 and other providers.

Forwarding verification emails

Many email providers send a verification email to the forwarding address before they start forwarding. That email appears in your RushHour Inbox — open it there to find the confirmation code or link.

If you use Allowed sender domains, the verification email from your provider is filtered too. Add the provider's domain to the list while you set up forwarding.
