Driver chat in the Inbox
The Chat section of the Inbox is where your office talks with drivers. Drivers see these messages in the RushHour driver app.
Open Inbox from the sidebar and choose Chat. A badge shows how many conversations have unread messages.
Finding a conversation
Conversations are listed on the left. Narrow them with the segments at the top:
| Segment | Shows |
|---|---|
| All | Every conversation. |
| Direct | One-to-one conversations with a driver. |
| Routes | Conversations about a specific route. |
You can also:
- Search conversations by name.
- Sort by Recent, Unread first or Name.
- Mark all read, or Refresh the list.
- Click Load More at the bottom to see older conversations.
Reading and replying
Click a conversation to open it. Scroll up and click Load earlier messages to see older history.
To reply, type in the message box and send. You can add an emoji or attach a file or photo. You can delete a message you sent from its menu.
The conversation header offers more options:
| Option | What it does |
|---|---|
| Call | Calls the driver's phone number, when one is saved. |
| View Profile | Opens the driver's profile. |
| Reload conversation | Refreshes the messages. |
| Close conversation | Closes the conversation pane. |
An archived or locked conversation is read-only: you can read its history but can no longer send messages in it.
Messaging several drivers at once
- Click Compose message.
- Under Recipients, select one or more drivers.
- Type your Message. You can include links.
- Click Send.
Each driver receives the message as a direct message in their own conversation. If the message could not be delivered to some drivers, RushHour tells you how many.
