Business documents

RushHour creates your shipping and billing paperwork from the data already in your orders, quotes and invoices, so there is nothing to type twice. Documents are created when you open them, which means they always reflect the latest version of the record.

Document	What it is	Where to open it
Bill of lading (BOL)	The shipping document that travels with the freight.	BOL in an order's actions menu or a row's menu in the Orders list; Print BOL on a route in Dispatch.
Labels	Labels to put on the freight.	From the bill of lading viewer.
Order Sheet	A printable summary of the order.	Order Sheet in an order's actions menu or a row's menu in the Orders list, once the quote has become an order.
Quote	The priced quote for the customer.	Email Quote on a quote.
Invoice	The customer's invoice.	The invoice in Accounting.

Your company logo appears on these documents. Bills of lading, order sheets and quotes also include your general terms and conditions from Settings → Terms & Conditions.

View, print and download a bill of lading

1. Open the order and select BOL, then choose the bill of lading you need from the list — an order can have more than one, for example for different deliveries.
2. The document opens in a viewer. Use the options at the top:
   • Split Order Stop Items and Highlight — change how the items are laid out on the document.
   • Print — print the BOL on its own, the labels on their own, or both.
   • Download — download the BOL, the labels, or both.

Email a document

The viewers for bills of lading, quotes and invoices let you email the document straight to the customer.

1. In the viewer, choose the recipients. RushHour suggests addresses this kind of document was sent to before and pre-selects the most recent ones. You can also type a new address.
2. Optionally add a message.
3. Send.

If you type an address the customer doesn't have yet, RushHour asks whether to save it to the customer's profile for next time. For shipments with blind shipping, where the real shipper or consignee is hidden from some parties, you're asked which version of the bill of lading to send.
