Chatting with the assistant

Asking a question

Type your message in Message the assistant… at the bottom of the panel and press Enter or click the send button.

While the assistant works, the panel shows the steps it is taking — such as searching orders or running a report — and then its answer. Answers can include tables, charts, cards and links that open records in the app.

The assistant knows which page you are on, so you can ask about what you are looking at — for example "Summarize this order" while an order is open.

Conversations

Your chats are saved so you can come back to them.

Attaching files

You can give the assistant files to read — for example a rate sheet to price from, a manifest to import, or a contract to summarize.

  • Click Attach files (the paperclip icon) and choose files, drag files onto the panel, or paste them into the message box.
  • Click Attach from library to attach a document that is already in your Documents library, without uploading it again.

You can attach up to 10 files to a message, each up to 25 MB. Supported types are PDF, Word, Excel, CSV, text files and images.

Each attached file shows its status while RushHour reads it: Uploading, Processing, then Ready. If you send your message while a file is still being processed, it is sent automatically once the file is ready. If a file cannot be read, the chip shows Couldn't read this file.

Files you attach in the chat are saved to your company's Documents library, where your team can find them later.

Attaching files requires the Upload documents permission. If you don't have it, the attach buttons are hidden.

Sources

When the assistant answers from your documents, it shows Sources under its answer — the documents it used, with page numbers where available. Click a source to open the document.

Price explanations

When the assistant recommends a price, it can show Why this price: what the suggestion is anchored on (such as a matching rate in your pricing, a pricing rule it learned, or your history on the lane), a confidence level, and the details it took into account.

Dictating by voice

  1. Click Dictate a message (the microphone icon). Your browser may ask for permission to use the microphone.
  2. Speak. A recording can be up to 5 minutes long.
  3. Click Done to turn your recording into text, or Cancel to discard it.

The text appears in the message box so you can check it before sending. Turn on Auto-send while recording to send the message as soon as it has been transcribed.
