Order documents and attachments

The Customer Portal gives you the same shipping paperwork your carrier works from, plus a place to keep files on each order.

Order sheet and bill of lading

Once a shipment has been dispatched, you can open two documents for it:

  • Order Sheet — a summary of the order.
  • BOL — the bill of lading for the shipment.

To open one:

  1. Go to Orders.
  2. Open the row menu of the order and select Order Sheet or BOL.
  3. The document opens in a viewer, where you can read it, Print it, or Download it as a PDF.

For a bill of lading, the viewer also has two layout options, Split items per stop and Highlight items. The document you print or download uses the options you have switched on.

These two items appear in the row menu once the shipment has left the Unassigned stage. For an order that has not been dispatched yet, the menu only offers repeating, editing or cancelling the order.

Attachments on an order

Open the order and go to the Attachments tab. Files are grouped into:

GroupTypically holds
Paper workGeneral paperwork, and any file that does not belong to another group
BOLBill of lading files
Order SheetOrder sheet files
Order ImagesPhotos (this group accepts image files only)

In each group you can:

  • Preview — look at a file without downloading it.
  • Download — save a copy.
  • Attach file — upload a file from your device into that group. Only while the order is a Draft or a Quote.
  • Delete — remove a file. This is permanent, so the portal asks you to confirm. Only while the order is a Draft or a Quote.

Once your carrier approves the order, its attachments are read-only: you can still preview and download them, but you can no longer add or delete files. If a file needs to be added or removed after that, contact your carrier.

Files that were attached without a group are shown under Paper work.

You can also reach an order's files from the Attachments button in the order's side panel.

Invoice documents

Invoices have their own preview and print options. See Invoices and payments.
